GT35R Oil Return Adapter

Recommended Posts

I've searched, but I cannot find.....

I have a Boostlogic oil feed and return kit, which I'm (trying) to use with a GT35R; the pipe from the block to the bottom of the tubbie which has the squished, oval flange with two securing holes is fine and I have the hose that comes from the block, but not the adaper that then screws into the turbo!

I have tried several suppliers such as hydraulic adapter specialists etc., but no one knows where to get one...

The thread appears to be 11mm bore with a 1mm pitch and a cone internally, so I'd need a female end?

Any thoughts?

I really need to get this by Friday; does anyone know where I can get one?

Thanks

Tony

Unfortunately not :(

That is the side I have, it's the other fitting I'm missing, the one that looks similar to the one that goes into the block, but the thread is different and the shank appears to be 11mm rather than 12mm.

It's in the Boostlogic kit, it's just not in the one I have and they say they don't sell them individually :(

Can you take a photograph of EXACTLY what you do have so we can see what you need?

Or post a photo of the boostlogic parts and circle the bit you need? It sounds like it is an NPT to AN adaptor that you want but I'm kind of guessing based on your description.

In that kit (the left most picture) it's the silver elbow adapter.

Can these be bought seperately?

As I said, I've tried several places, but they can't even identify the thread! Apparently it's not a normal metric standard (10mm is too small and 12mm is too big), not does it appear to be imperial or NPT as the thread is 1mm fine pitch!

Any help would be VERY much appreciated!

Ta. :)

Unfortunately it's the top connection, the feed from the block and not the return (sorry, I realised that I'd labelled the thread wrongly after I posted  ).

I've had several people look at the connection, but we're struggling to work out what the thread is!

For the GT35R oil inlet you want one of these:

http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ATP-OIL-021&Category_Code=GTBB

That goes from the thread on the turbo to -4 (and has an oil restrictor which is very important). Then you want a -4 90 degree fitting like this:

http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ATP-FTG-016&Category_Code=ATP-FTG1

Finally if you have a -3 oil feed hose you'll need a -4 to -3 adaptor like this:

http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ATP-FTG-026&Category_Code=ATP-FTG1

Dunno what the problem people are having with returns is, you just need one of these:

http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=ATP-FLA-010&Category_Code=GTBB

plus a gasket:

http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=GRT-GSK-008&Category_Code=GTBB

Then you use a 1/2NPT to -10AN union that your drain hose connects to, like you would with any turbo. The BL kit comes with one.

For the GT35R ... you want stuff .

You sir are a legend. Ordered it all, as I bought a oil drain kit off someone here and only got the top feed line itself, the bottom drain hose and the gasket :(

I really really do owe you a pint sometime if you fancy it mate. Would love to see how your build is progressing too :) Now I have a car that may keep up with yours!

2nd thoughts! I'm contacting them as for a $15 part they want $95 shipping! :O talked to thinkauto.co.uk and seeing if they can supply something similar.
