There is a good album of pics on Feel-the-Noise - link:

Race Cars - ET Classes - Pro ET - Dave Napier (please ignore the funny face Tig's pulling on one photo!)

Also if you type Tig Napier in google, it should find pics from Eurodragster and various other sites.

we have a Torqueflite 727 reverse pattern manual valve body with a B&M shifter. All that means is there's no clutch but you still have to change gear using the shifter, and the reverse pattern bit means the gears are the other way round to a normal auto box, so you pull the shifter back to change up instead of pushing it forward. You are right about the approx. 700bhp ATW, Dodge specs are as follows (well, you DID ask) :-)

Over winter Tig found a couple of things not quite as they should be, so we're hoping to go a bit quicker this year. And we've ordered a Keith Black aluminium block from the States to build a 572ci motor, that's to go in next year. We looked into a Turbo set up but it would cost far too much as we'd have to upgrade the chassis as well as getting all the engine bits and new engine. Don't think we weren't tempted though, twin turbos on similar Chrysler blocks in the States are producing over 2400hp!

Hope you haven't nodded off yet http://cdn-cf.aol.com/se/smi/0201d20638/01

Cheers,

Cath & Tig

Don't get me started on this one again ;)

It takes me back to the time when a lot of us were running similar cars, albeit not so modded, as daily drivers. Those were definitely the days :D

Problem being, with them all being 30+ years old, its not really practical these days, hence the Supra :)

3916 pound with driver and it still launches with front wheels off the ground with 700hp. i love the sound of the big v8 cars. its got a huge spec list, dont mention what ICE system he has in the car. was reading about v8 engines last night.

still a cool car even if it is old school.

I followed one of those from the M62 to York Dragway last season, I was in a 1.8 Vectra and all over him, then we got to one of those really long straights :)

(Caught him on the twisty bits though)

Cracking machines, great to watch those huge tyres flex as they dig in before the wheels lift.
