GLENN STONEHAM Posted March 11, 2009 Share Posted March 11, 2009 Thought I would find the answer to this but extensive search on here produces nothing of use. The "overdrive off" light on the rev dial has stopped working but the overdrive on/off works ok so must be the bulb. There is suggestion on here that it may be a soldered/fixed bulb rather than a simple plug in replacement but no definite confirmation by anyone as to exact type. I would think its the same as the "manu" light next to it in the rev dial. I suppose the whole dash panel has to come off to get to it rather than the smaller section around the dials. Yours was the only response on this so hope it is the bulb you think it is as hate removing / refitting dash parts. so many wires & connections to mess up. FireStormNBI Posted June 17, 2009 Share Posted June 17, 2009 (edited) as far as i can remember its either a T5 wedge or twistlock bulb.. i've replaced mine with LED's but didnt change the OD Light.. only the signal light bulb are different from the others.. there are also 3 T10 bulbs for the rpm speedo and the fuel gauge.. heres a pic... I cant get another one out to check cos im worried I might brake them as there a tight fit. My overdrive light was missing when I bought the car. FireStormNBI Posted June 19, 2009 Share Posted June 19, 2009 if there are 2 pins sticking out, you can buy those bulbs at any electrical store, or you can improvise using an LED from a T5 bulb. take the LED out of the socket ang insert it on the twist lock socket.. if it dosent turn on, switch polarity since its an LED Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Your need to remove the rev counter from its housing as the bulb and holder are removed from the back.
