Only seeing 0.55 0.6 Bar on boost gauge

Ifou are leaking bost (e.g. through a busted intercooler or poor connecting pipework) then ASUI your turbos will overspool as there isn't anything holding them back and the safety cutout (fel cut) is based on the pressure they achieve... and clearly are nowhere near that level.

Avoid making boost until you get it fixed, or risk the tubos going pop.

  • 3 weeks later...

Right update i have now fitted my new Gready FMIC and all pipe work correctly and there is no leaks on the new installation.

But i am now only seeing around 0.6 / 6.5 bar of boost on second turbo should it not be in the 0.7 / 0.8 bar range ? and for some reason it will boost up to 8 bar when iam in 6th on first turbo but not in any other gear..

Could this be a fault on my boost guage as it also will bouce up and down some times when second turbo comes online, but the car does not seem to be jumping around as the boost on the guage is saying just a bit lost atm is this all normal or do i have a problem ? Thanks for any help !!..

8 bar????

whatever is happening, it's not right. Are you sure there aren't any leaks or blockages in the boost gauge sensor's plumbing? At best it's a gauge-related issue, otherwise it could be your VSVs (or even your turbos :().

Hi steve what is an vsv and what does it do ?

I dont think its the turbos because they are still pulling hard it dont seem like iam looseing power its just not showing it on guage :search:
