Supragal
I always seem to hear of people that happened to have a mint condition toy in their loft that they dig out one day to find it's worth loads... anyone know anything about this kinda thing? I mean, I'm about to bung a load of toys on ebay that are mint, complete with original tags and I'm worried that one day they'll be worth loads and I'll be gutted I sold them now... Includes a genuine ITV digital monkey, south park charactors that kinda thing. Thoughts?

michael
Mask was my favourite cartoon when I was younger, sadly my pocket money didn't stretch to Rhino though I had these ones: Condor http://www.jeebs.dsl.pipex.com/condor.jpg Hurricane: http://www.jeebs.dsl.pipex.com/hurricane.jpg Raven: http://www.jeebs.dsl.pipex.com/raven.jpg Firefly: http://www.virtualtoychest.com/mask/maskfirefly1c.jpg I had a couple of the Adventure packs too - gave the lot away to a young lad next door - bah! Interesting site: http://www.virtualtoychest.com/mask/mask.html I still have a massive laundry basket full of cars though, I can't part with them. They look all sad. The toys that will be worth the most in the future will be the rarer limited edition ones that are boxed and in perfect condition. Most toys these days are sold in such HUGE quantities that very few will be worth much in years to come. There are also so many more people who are collecting things these days and trading on Ebay etc. that there will be even less and less rare toys in the future. For example when the first of the recent Star Wars episodes was released stores bought massive amounts of stock (100's K pcs) Most of the stores ended up getting stuck with HUGE quantities of stock that they couldn't shift and a lot of it ended up getting used as land fill as they couldn't give the stuff away. Same thing happened with Furby, rumour was that Tiger had a warehouse full of half a million pieces that they couldn't sell after the crazy faded. Scarface GTti
You wouldn`t have any Care Bears of 1983 vintage there would you Supragal? Just my missus collects them and you never know what someone else might have in their loft!
Supragal
Mine are all still complete with original tags etc but as you say it's all so mass produced now it's more unlikely. I know the ITV monkeys were going for a song a while back but I might keep him anyway.

I am thinking about digging through my mums loft at some point as she's got all my really old toys stashed away. Mind you, I doubt they'll be in good condition :S
