Max Headroom
I have just come into ownership of an Audi A3 which has been stood in our car park for about 8 weeks. Is there anything I should be doing? It started fine after charging the battery but for a while it was "pulsing" the revs were going up and down whilst the car was idling and it chucked out a lot of smoke from the exhaust before it warmed up. I dont want the car to blow up on me
hogmaw
Tyre pressures for starters
Benjy
As above, tyre pressures, make sure the brakes work OK, and check the service history. I'm sure once it's had a bit of a clear out it'll be fine!
Luka-P
Just the usual checks Dave. Oil level, coolant level and colour. Let it idle for a bit and then get her up to operating temp. Re-check everything after that. Yours started first time after a oil, filter and coolant change. Ran like a dream
