Syed Shah
I might be wrong, but I think you need a wideband O2 sensor to do this accurately.
eyefi
there is 1 o2 sensor(unless yrs is a usa car), its the first one near the turbos, the one under the car is cat temp. using the stock o2 is next to useless, it wont give u accurate info either side of 14.7 af. get a wideband like syed sez. fjo wideband is used alot in the states, i have no personal experience of it

Connect to the first O2 sensor, but the results will be of absolutely no use whatsoever for seeing if the car is running safely rich, or tuning the mixture I'm afraid. You need a TOTALLY different kind of readout and O2 sensor for meaningful results, and they are expensive.
Ian C
Tell that to RC Developments! Ahhhhh - it's all done and dusted now, isn't it? After all, Clive himself told me in person that they use the stock O2 sensor to check the fuelling. So in my experience, I agree - checking the fuelling off the stock O2 sensor doesn't stop the engine going pop. That thar stock O2 sensor is for emissions control at constant engine speed (idle or light cruise conditions). It's closed loop, so it's readings let the ECU adjust the fuelling to hit 14.7 A/F mix. Under any other conditions, usually acceleration , it's readings are disregarded by the ECU because the sensor isn't sensitive enough to indicate what's going on. -Ian
GavinL
A friend of mine fitted one to his car just because it looks good in his opinion. He is aware that it serves no other function than that.
banaman69
me too,so all done and dusted what colour wire?
mazman
i am not 100% sure, but i think its the pin 71 or pin 48 on the ecu. if you can use a multimeter and probe both of them you will find out witch one it is. there will be a reference Volts(3v-5v) and a signal Voltage(going from 0v to 1v),going up and down constantly...this is the one you want. or you could splice into the original O2 sensor wire? (you will also need a multimeter to find out the one that you need-0v to 1v range wire) NOTE: you need the car running to get the voltage.
