supra-ireland
Hi- My car has a full decat and Turbo's capable of producing 2.0 bar (allegedly). I want to restrict the turbos to prevent damage. From what I've read I think I should be putting a 1.0 bar restrictor ring between the 1st and 2nd decat pipes. Is this correct? Is this enough to prevent damage? Are all 1.0 bar restrictor rings for Supra's the same or is there a particular version that I should be buying. -Cheers, Paul
couv3z
not sure about a 1.bar RR, i have a 1.2 from envy, but from what i understand you don't know if it will be a 1.2 it could range depending on mods and the RR itself it could allow you to boost to 1.3 or 1. you never know till its on the car and you see the gauage
supra-ireland
Ok cheers mate. Well can someone recommend a good restrictor ring then, that should hopefully keep my boost pressure down to a safe level?
Rich
Yeah, get a 1.0 bar chris wilson one. Ideally get an egt gauge to monitor the exhaust temps and an afr gauge would also be nice to monitor the air fuel ratio.
snake
you will need a restrictor ring to reduce boost pressure after decat. Then you need a boost controller so you can set the correct boost pressure,Then it's a good idea to have a boost gauge to keep an eye on it. supra-ireland
I've got an Apexi air/fuel controller but don't have time to get it installed at the minute. I've got a boost gauge already in. I'll buy a 1.0 bar restrictor ring and stick it in for now.

Guigsy
Stage 3 Hybrids. I said allegedly because I know feck all about it and that's just what I was told they're capable of producing. Wouldnt believe that for a second to be honest. Hybrids on here usualy go between 1.4 and 1.6 and then eventualy blow themselves to bits a few 10k miles later
