Gaz6002
hah hah, not a bad idea. Or phone up for a companion and just start singing. How long before they cut her off do you think? Well you won't know if she doesn't try! The industry is so competitive right now. I know so many people who are as you describe but they're all fighting for the same thing. It's getting practically impossible to stand out.
benkei
Is she as good as me? www.myspace.com/littlebigmanmusic I've had this on in the background... It's actually quite cheery and enjoyable
Lbm
I bow down to your superior knowledge sir, and to be honest I tend to agree, but she said the voice coaches and contacts alone was good enough reason to apply. I'm assuming you dont actually pay for the advice and help from the mentors as thats part of the show - Is the right? That's right, on the show it's free. (Apart from paying with your soul & dignity ) she dances too. Tap, modern, salsa, bedroom blah blah blah.. oh yes, we're not talking about Raquel Waller here. Sounds to me that she's hedging her bets - does she just want to be on the tele, any which way she can, be it singing or dancing or being a singist or songwriterist? hah hah, not a bad idea. Or phone up for a competition and just start singing. How long before they cut her off do you think? 3 seconds- or less. I once dressed a friend up as a werewolf and sent him in on a skateboard to drop off a demo to a music publisher...mmmm.... (It didn't work)

I'd say singing. The dance and writing takes second stance. I guess shes just very passionate about music and wants to get as much involved as possible. Well passion is always good (You just have help pepole reign it in and focus on going in the right direction. I thinks the old adage, work smarter, rather than just 'work harder' applies here. No silly talent shows puuurlease, apart from gaining some kind of basic humiliation experience. Have I mentioned yet I'm not a fan of talent shows-speaking as a performer hah hah, thats funny. Any psychological scarring to your friend? I left him behind man to pick up the pieces. He's in a retirement home now and he's only 25.
