danhicks22
I'm not sure there is a way of improving your netbook's reception from the netbook end, aside from getting a 'better' receiver; although I've found my NC10's reception to be really strong anyway. You could try and find a good USB receiver? You could get a signal booster to sit part way between the transmitter and your netbook, intercepting the signal from a better position and rebroadcasting it, although this can be a pita to get working properly. Alternatively, you could ask your hotel nicely to... - move their transmitter closer to you - fit a bigger aerial - fit a parabolic reflector
hogmaw
I got a thingy that boosts the ability to pick up signals, called a reception booster or something like that. It just plugs into a usb and acts like an ariel. It's quite small, but does seem to work. Have a look around on the net, sorry not sure what it's called as my laptop's not here right now
DAT Inter
Buy a wireless access point, and set it up as an AP repeating station.
danhicks22
Repeater! That was the word I was looking for! Any recommendations on a decent one? I think it was a Netgear router with a repeater mode that I tried before and it didn't work properly - caused all sorts of weird behaviour.
