DAT Inter
Seriously. WTF? Right, the other half came in and sat down. I had been watching top gear and said she could put whatever she wanted on and omg. Right, Amy was down south visiting her relatives in England at the weekend of whom all have young kids and she was subjected to the latest kids tv craze, In the Night Garden. So thus, it was that... em well, that she recorded it on sky so she could show me it today when i got home. OK, now ive seen the telly tubbies and all that stuff, and it was a little weird, but seriously, this is the most trippy thing i have ever seen in my life. Like sort of wtf!? None of them can talk properly, its all baby speach, an they all look totally weird and all have strange names. There are also this minature collection of 10 what i can only describe as amish muslims, 2 parents and 8 children all in this wee house. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PLjLtaI9x4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIxrNHfyl48&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvvaDVnGn88 and a search http://www.youtube.com/results?search_type=&search_query=in+the+night+garden&aq=f One guys famous quote on you tube is: "not even. makapaka is pure evil and the scariest thing i've ever seen. he didnt even want to go on the ninky nonk, he was just trying to ruin everyone else's fun. iggle piggle ftw. lol" Have any of you seen this? RedM
I've seen this and agree. No wonder that once cute little sprogs grow up to be b*stard teenagers if they are being fed this kind of crap.

benkei
No wonder the intellegence level of kids is dropping if this is the shite they're subjected to?! There should be some kind of law which prevents freaky weird stuff like this from being aired!! WTF is wrong with Postman Pat?! Or Fireman Sam? Or even Danger Mouse?! At least you knew what was going on and parents could endure it without going into some kind of trance and dribbling on themselves due to lack of pretty much ANY thought process!! Havard
but wait we had bill and ben , just as fucked up if you ask me Great series, I remember the in the bath episode, Bill says "Flobalobalobalob" Ben says "Fart again and I'll tw@t you..!" Mike
Not in a harsh way, but... Don't sit your kids in front of a TV and think it's going to educate them, or make them better people in some way - that's your job! Kids are allowed to chill and watch shit aren't they? If the kids are so screwed up these days it's probably our fault...? btw I agree.. it's pretty screwed.. my three nieces have been obsessed with this programme to vary degrees over their lives We did have Noddy and 'Cholton and the Wheelies' though
Lbm
Alot of intelligence is passed down through the genes, so I woudn't entirely blame the slime that oozes from your TV set. (Zappa)

dangerous brain
Its kids TV stuff adults aren't meant to get it. My nipper loves it and my latest ickelist one is starting to get mesmerised by it too. I'll be honest I love the night garden because it means the sprogs are shortly going to be in bed and the beer can be accessed
DAT Inter
The reason i pointed this out is my other halfs young cousin who is 5 or 6 now, goes to decent school but was allowed to watch this sort of drivle. Now being six she can't really hold a semi decent conversation and her and even some of her friends break out in speach similar to crap in this programme. Now on the other hand, a kid that she baby-sat, also the same age, same sort of school, same background etc, wasnt allowed to watch this crap, but instead was outside playing, horse riding etc etc which undoubtably helps boost emotional and psychological development. This kid can can hold a very adult conversation, capable of sarcasm and all sorts, but stil retains that funny immatre side that makes him a kid. In my opinion, programmes like this are damaging to the growth of children nowadays. We already have a country full of half wits, imagine 10 years from now...
