This country is really going to the dogs.

Reading the Metro today, two stories really stood out as to what is wrong with this country.

1) - Young family Foster and older boy. Were not told that he was a sex offender and he sexually assults their young children.

2) - A couple who are living in a caravan after floods affect their area are being sued by their neighbours. :(

Once again greed and nonsensical decisions reign... :(

Once again the papers seek the stories twist them and sensationalise them to make them sound worse than they are.

Re the couple being sued, of course you should be able to sue for loss of view. Was it the other family's fault that the insurance company dumped the caravan in an unsightly place? - Just move the bloody thing! Why do the papers seek to sensationalise something which is basic English land law? - We'd be moaning if people were not allowed their legal rights under the law.

Also the claim isnt even against the flood victims. 'It is against the insurance company'

as for the Peedo thing.... that is very odd

Are you serious- the caravan is in their own front garden.

Funny that isnt it. If he is actually sueing then he obviously has a course of action under law doesn't he... which means the law has the same opinion as I do.

:D Don't think he read it properly. Or maybe he did and ermmm well, yeah.

Of course you can claim for nuisances on other peoples land so long as it is devaluing/causing problems with your own. Trees blocking out the light etc etc.

I just dont understand why if it is causing so much upset that it isn't just moved to a different point in the garden.

How do you know things aren't worse in other countries?

In fact if all the newspapers can find to write about is something as trivial as a caravan blocking someone's view, surely that's a good thing?

Damn good point.

Beware. Whenever there is an upsurge of non-stories like this in the press it's only to distract us while the Govt. slip a few new and definitely not in our favour laws into place.

You said a great post yesterday on the same topic... considering adopting one as a new signature.

I ranted about this sort of thign months ago and I was shot down at the time.... the media are too free imo (although I suppose they are technically in league with Labour if RedM is 100% accurate).

100% AGREE. Now hands up all those who trust the shysters we have governing us. Dont all rush. What not even one!!!!!!!!!

Oh well back to turning stones over, finding skeletons and prodding people with sharp sticks. Is the work of the sceptic ever done.
