jim
A stupid pheasant wandered straight into my path on the way home from work this evening, it managed to take my number plate off and hit the radiator, leaving a 50p sized area damaged (bent fins) and possibly bending the two thin metal pipes running across the bottom of the front of the rad. Is it ok to keep an eye on the engine temp and coolant level for the next few days, and if it remains normal to assume that there's been no lasting damage, or is it a case of accepting that a new radiator will be needed? Is there anything else that I need to be checking or testing to see if the radiator's still good? Any help/advice appreciated!
Guigsy
take it somewhere and just have the rad pressure tested. Should show you if its leaking or not.

Dnk
Just warm the car up to operating temp and have a good look around the damaged area. It could be ok now but fail later dependant on the damage so i'd keep my eye on it or just play safe and get it recored or buy a new one but not cheap. jim
It's out my back in a bin bag, I didn't know whether it should be binned, or taken somewhere, or what to do with it. It wandered onto a dual carriageway, I was doing 60 and there were cars behind and beside me so there was no way of avoiding it safely. I'm happy enough to post it to Scotland, but suspect it won't be cheep. *sorry*
