The biggest news is the 599XX, a unique tech-fest in the vein of the Enzo-based FXX. In Ferrari’s words it’s ‘aimed at a select group of clients’, which in the FXX’s case meant a group of wealthy owners who ran a car on exclusive Ferrari trackdays and stored it with the supercar giant when not in use. The car wasn’t road legal (unless you investigated some unofficial tweaks) and it’s unlikely the 599XX will be a road car.

Instead it’ll be a unique track toy that demonstrates all of the Prancing Horse’s new technology and innovations, with its lucky owners trying out and helping along the development of stuff that will make it onto series production Ferraris further down the line. A lot of the tech is filtered straight down from the company’s F1 research, and fittingly the 599XX will be displayed at Geneva wearing the F12008 Grand Prix car’s colour.

Take the Ferrari badges off, stick some Toyota ones on with a nice wing and you could have the next Supra... which wouldn't be as good as a MKIV obviously... for the money... etc

I think you have a point regarding the F599/mkv Supra thing though, makes you wonder how the Supra would have evolved.

Except Ferrari keep pushing the boundaries, and Toyota don't even make a half hearted coupe like the gen7 Celica anymore :(

Is it true that the LFA has been officially binned now too?

The Ferrari is worthy of a sex wee BTW

Wouldn't surprise me, even though the thing has been in development for 10 years and is probably due a facelift Toyota would be mad to put it into production when car sales are down 45% on average. Who is going to spend £200,000 on a Toyota Lexus in todays financial climate.

Toyota missed the boat by atleast two years with the LFA, it's seemingly been on the verge of being signed off during that time.
