gordy07
My mate has a 53 plate UK impreza turbo, about two weeks ago he fitted a full exhaust system and yesterday his engine warning/management light came on.Any ideas? I though it could be something to do with the o2 sensor but he says it has been refitted properly to the new system. Any help greatly app. as always:)

dan4
air mass reading incorrect due to split intake pipe? overboost due to exhaust and cold weather?
gordy07
It turns out its a fault code because of excess gases not being removed by the cats. He has been advised to either put the cats back in or remap the ecu at a cost of £650:blink:
Swampy442
Cant he just live with the light, does it affect performance?

Pig
Very common on a scooby. You can turn the light out but it will come on again in no time.
gordy07
He is one of those guys that if he knows there is a problem making the light come on,then he wont just disconnect it:blink: The performance is much more responsive at lower revs:D But when he accelerates and dips the clutch to change up a gear the revs hold for a second before dropping:( And his fuel consumption has gone through the roof:taped: It seems to be running lean and probablly does need re mapped tbh
Swampy442
Running lean and excessive fuel consumption are opposites. Theres his answer Gordy, remap, or return to stock. Or just man up and ignore it
