PhilMorrison
Hi guys. Can anyone offer any insight into air filter options for a genuine 700bhp? I need a single 100mm inlet filter. It's not a road car, so a stainless mesh type filter is fine if it saves me some space. Infact I'd prefer one as oiled filters are horrible to work around. Wez
I just use a generic PiperCross unit on mine, the power ratings on some filter websites are very low and I am not sure what they are based on. As a test we removed my filter on a dyno run and it made no difference, I think mine is rated to 350hp
PhilMorrison
That's good to know thanks. I had a filter on the car that seemed to work fine at 572bhp. I've nicked it for my M3 though, so need a new one, and wanted to make sure I'm not restricting the engine now we're about to try running some boost. Guest cpaul4
Green cotten filters do lots of bits for big power cars. If you email them or ring they can recommend you a filter. Not to bad for price also. Chris
