Markie
All, I have just replaced my O2 sensor in the exhaust. Nice shinny one Anyways, the guy at the MOT station said that if its still a touch over the limits tomorrow then he will put some of this system cleaner stuff into the ait intake pipe to clear stuff out. However, spoke to a guy today and said its good stuff as he did it to a Fiat Brava and just loads of gunk came out of the exhaust.. It sounds good if it cleans the system like this, but I was wondering if this gunky waste crap comes out of the exhaust, will it also muck up my new sensor which I have just fitted into the exhaust. Please any feedback on this or views would be brill.. Just wondering whether to let this guy use this cleaner stuff, as dont want to have to replace the sensor again due to being gunked up and all, Thanks, Marcus. Digsy
How about.... NO!!! If your car is failing the MOT on emissions then take it to someone who can diagnose the problem and fix it at its source, not someone who suggests "cleaning out your system" by tipping some gunk into your engine.
