Fitted some Speakers in the back of the MX5 today

MX5's are a bit of a pain for fitting speakers due to lack of space, but today I did this :)

Here is the area in question

Looks like this once the Metal panel is removed

after looking at the area and the metal panel I decided that it would be much better to replace the metal panel with MDF, so I drew round the top section and cut out a piece of 9mm MDF

first test fit

Fixing holes drilled and counter bored, and 2nd test fit

Down stand cut and fitted into place

6 x 9's are really tight, and I had to fit the drivers side one at an angle, there was no way it was going to fit straight

and the finished item looks like this

All in all, a good job I think, sound is much improved even with these cheap speakers, when funds allow I will replace them with better quality items, but I'm very pleased with the results
