SupraStar 3000
Look closely at tile A and B. They seem to be different shades of gray. They are actually the same exact shade. Don't believe it? Try opening up the image in Paint or another image editor and put the 2 tiles side by side or print the page out and fold the sides over to put A and B together. Ian C
un fucking believable. Even when I'm moving the copied tile around the picture I can't believe it but there it, they are both the same colour -Ian

Ian C
How can you not understand? They're on different colour backgrounds Yah, it's obviously an optical illusion playing on the colour resolution of your eyes and how it has to use all the rods and cones to generate greys and so there is a lot of brain trickery going on to interpret 'grey' and so it can be fooled BUT (intake of breath) most optical illusions can be "seen through" once you know it is one, mostly the spatial ones where two squares are the same size but look different because of the surrounding pattern etc - but this one you can't. Well, I can't and neither can anyone else I've shown it to -Ian

tbourner
Showed it to a few people at work, most had a similar reaction to me, then 1 said: "Yeah they're the same shade - so?". Turns out he was looking at the letters!!! The letters look more different than the squares to me!!
