Chris and Alana
I use one its fine. It's nice and small and has 4 pre sets, peak boost, real time boost and warning function which will try and reduce boost pressure if it reaches its pre set measure. As far as I know the solenoids can handle 2.5bar aswell. Should be upto the job of controlling most turbo charged vehicles. As for solenoid response I dont know how it compares to the more expensive units out there but it does use duel solenoids which from what I have read allows for quicker pulsing of the wastegate than a single solenoid unit. heckler
I have the Blitz ID3 controller - it uses the same solenoid as spec-r cant fault it at all.

There are two types of solenid. Spec r and spec s - one can control boost to 1.3 bar? and the other to 2.5 bar. Cant remember what way round they are but check before you buy. And i have one aswel and its a nice little, simple to use bit of kit.
