Guest senna
Hi there, this is my first post so hello all! As you probably detected from my title Im not having much luck. Wanted a supra for years, finally got one a couple of weeks ago and had a beaming smile on my face for a week, (i'm sure you know the smile) until some git broke into my house while I was at work, robbed my tv and laptop and got my keys and drove off in my new car!! Car was missing for three days then turned up. It had been used in a card shop robbery over the valentines day weekend! Hardly a robbery worthy of a supra! lol. anyway I now have my car back but the keys and fob for my alarm are still missing which has got me very worried. Im twitchin like a paranoid maniac everytime I hear a car door! Thankfully there was no damage so I got the car back without making a claim. My insurance company has offered £100 towards new locks without making a claim but they can easily just open my car with the fob. I am currently using the spares. After doing lots of searching on the internet I believe my alarm is a Toad ai606, I do not have any certifcate with a pin number on and neither does the previous owner. I have located the instructions on deleting an alarm fob from the alarm system but need the pin number to do this. I have read a few people advertising that they can get the PIN number from the serial number of the alarm. Great stuff I thought, but i cant find the alarm system or have any idea what it looks like. Ive looked under the bonnet and under the dash, can anyone give me some kind of idea were im looking, or likely places, or is it buried so people cant get to it. Any help would be really appreciated as Im starting to go mad with worry!

Guest senna
Thanks alot for the quick reply, I will give it a try. Fingers crossed! If anyone else has any ideas, remedies, or suggestions for my situation in general please let me know. I also need to get new locks, could anyone tell me if I have to purchase the full things or can I replace the barrels. And any suggestions where I can get them! Thanks in advance
Purity14
Pull the lead off the coilpacks for now; or take off the battery terminals until you can get it sorted. Just put them back on when you want to drive, its a lot of effort but less effort than getting your car stolen again..
AlanM
Or as a stop gap till you get sorted, buy a wheel clamp and/or steering wheel lock. Hard lines bud, not a good start to Supra ownership
Stevo
For absolute peace of mind, you might want to think about taking it to a reputable place that installs alarms. I'm sure a professional could locate and remove the existing system for you, then have a new one installed - you'll get a Cat1 certificate etc too which may even bring the insurance down if you send them a copy??? carl0s
Where abouts in Cheshire are you? We have a silver one here that the missus was wondering about.. seemed to not move anywhere and now it's gone.
benkei
Why mess around? Just take the car to a reputable alarm installing company, get them to rip out the Toad alarm and install a Clifford? Problem solved! I've always preffered Clifford over Toad, not sure why??
DannoSupra
I'de go with new locks and barrels, and also get a new alarm, just to be on the safe side.. Maybe a Tracker too??? I know i would!
Alex
Highly frickin suspicious... 1st post is about getting into a starting a car you have no keys for... If you are legit, go to an alarm company. If you are not I hope you get caught.

Gazboy
I'd take the car to an alarm fitter and ask for a completely seperate make of alarm to be installed, make sure the parent companies of the two systems are not the same.
Alex
He's "currently using the spares" Doesn't mean I trust a new person that no one knows. So I wouldn't give away too much. Sorry, I may be harsh but I'd rather that than you tell every other new person how to get around the alarm and where it is etc...
Guest senna
Hi there, thanks alot everyone for your responses. purity14 - great idea i'll do that Alanm - yeh Ive got a disclok for it at the mo Stevo - yeh ideally I would take it but as the thieves cleaned me out (no contents insurance either) and took my cards I'm strugglin for cash. I am looking for the new locks at the mo and thought if the stolen alarm fob is deleted it should be pretty safe! Is it right I can get my alarm certified by letting a specialist look at it? Carlos - Thanks alot! The car was found abandoned in Wythenshawe which might not be far from you, and its silver aswell. It was taken a week on thursday ago and found on the sunday after. Was it there around that time? I live between Warrington and Wigan! Alex - yeh I know it sounds a bit suspicious but I'm not a thief. Dont blame ya for worrying though! Thanks again for your responses, I really cant afford new alarms at the moment cause Im on my backside with just buying the car and then being robbed and the costs involved. Can anyone recommend an alarm spiecialist in my area that wont charge a fortune if I cant find the alarm myself? Thanks again
SupraStar 3000
Hope you get it sorted and they catch the persons responsible. btw: did they dust the car for prints? I've heard about sending a card to yourself on valentines day but robbing the entire shop is a bit extreme. Welcome to the club.
Guest senna
Yeh they had the car for a few days and did finger prints, I got it back covered in black dust, it looked like l had just come out of a volcanoes dust cloud, lol. Cleaned it up straight away, looking good again! Thanks for the welcome! Tried looking again today but cant find it. Just getting the number for a good cheap auto electrician off a friend to try to find my alarm, as I cant find a local alarm guy that wont charge a small fortune. Does anyone know if it is actually possible to get an alarm specialist to certify my alarm? Also a few people have said I should completely change my alarm, is this really necessary? I thought if I just deleted the fob that they stole it would be ok! Any ideas where I can get a good price for the locks or barrels? My friend says he will fit the lock so just want the parts really. Cheers!!
gordy07
Hi mate sorry to hear about your misfortune:( I think you would be safer to change the whole alarm for a new one(and manufacturer) Good luck bud:)

Swampy442
Ive got the same alarm in my Soarer, the control box was tucked down behind the carpet in the drivers footwell, by accelerator pedal. Shit start to ownership and personally, if my car ever got stolen I never EVER want it back. I watch Road Wars...
Guest senna
Cheers guys, Gordy07 - Cheers mate, its not the best start. Whats the main reason for you saying change the alarm, even manufacturer? Is it personal preference, cost and ease, or do you think they will have some kind of advantage by having an old fob? Ian Ian - Thanks for those, I'll give em a whirl. I'd forgotten about Pat Bell! Can you, or anyone else tell me how do I get hold of kerron or Jezzybabes? Swampy442 - I will try there tomorrow, I tried the passenger side. ROAD WARS :(:( Crikey, dont put more anymore bad images in my mind. lol. It makes my blood boil. Thing that p$$$es me off the most is that they beat my boxer dog up when they broke in. He was really upset and scared when I came home. Anyway the car drives fine, dont think they even got chased thankfully. Only reason to get rid is that I'm on edge all the time but I really dont want to. Really love the car. Anyway cheers again to everyone, and thanks for the warm welcome...
AlanM
You should try your insurance company for getting the alarm changed, after all it is in their interests as well that it is not stolen again
