ManwithSupra Posted February 22, 2009 Share Posted February 22, 2009 Replaced my boot rubbers today one was a bit stubborn to come out but a stanley knife, a pair of pliers and a bit of careful prising with a screwdriver soon fixed that. I really recommend that you do this if you have a rattle coming from the back of the car, now there are no rattles at all in my car and its feels ... newer One of the best £30 i have spent i reckon. No i didnt need to heat the screws the passanger side ones seemed to come out quite easy the drivers side the screw head just rounded off cos it was rusty so i cut back the rubber got some pliers and twisted the screw head until they were out.... perhaps i was lucky. Guest Garfy Posted February 22, 2009 Share Posted February 22, 2009 you can get rid of the rattles by simply removing the top rubber, placing a washer between it and the tailgate, and refiting the rubber, fixes the rattles, means you don't have the problem of getting the bottom rubber off, and costs nothing (if you have washers kicking about) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
