Defi Control Unit and gauges

Right then I'm selling all the Defi gauges that I had installed in the car as they're no longer required now I have the R-VIT!

For those not familar with the Defi line they are one of the leading manufacturers in Japan of high end engine monitoring systems.

I am selling here:

1x Defi Link Control Unit II (DF05001)

1x Defi Link 60mm Turbo Gauge including sensor unit.

1x Defi Link 60mm Water Temp Gauge excluding sensor unit.

1x Defi Link 52mm Oil Temp Gauge excluding sensor unit.

1x Generic A Pillar Pod Holder for 2 60mm Gauges.

The cabling linking the gauges to the Control Unit is included also.

I had the pod holder screwed into the A pillar in my car and it was fine, the boost gauge is in your line of sight so you can keep an eye on the readings without having to take your eyes away from the road.

All gauges work fine and do the little Defi dance upon startup, ie the needles slowly initialise from left to right and back again before doing a quick flick both ways and then start reading the values the car is running.

The Control Unit can record a stream of data for later playback so you can watch for any problems, likewise you can set peak values that you consider safe and the Control Unit will emit an audible alarm when these thresholds are breached.

There are a couple of further items that you will need to purchase to get everything working (you already have everything needed for the turbo gauge.)

You will require 2x PDF00903S sensor units (one for oil, one for water) available from Tein UK or any reseller to get the oil and water temperature gauges reading any data as I do not have these for sale, these will need plumbing into the correct area of the car via sandwich plates etc, but I would leave that up to a professional installer if you do not know what you are doing.

The sensor units are available here:

Upon removal of the connections I noticed that one of the pin connectors has dropped off the water temp sensor wire which means you can either solder it to the pins in the Control Unit or alternatively just order another one - the details of that are as follows:

1x PDF01003H DF Water Temp Sensor Wire £31.00

I don't have any manuals or anything with this but the online manual can be found here for reference and describes the product fully:

http://www.defi-shop.com/product/images/dl...anual06064e.pdf

All the gauges worked fine when removed from the car, and are in good condition as you can see in the pictures below.

I am looking for £200 for all of this, and then you will just need to buy the sensors and if you don't feel comfortable soldering the Water Temp sensor you will also need to buy the sensor wire for that.

..:: Edit ::..

Actually I just broke off the oil temp connector from the Control Unit II so it will need resoldering on and I don't have the skills for that so knocking price down to £200

The figures on these light up green at nighttime and the needle is orange, like this pic below:

And to give you an idea of them in action (not my video btw):

It's got a few holes in mate so I first of all took out the door side rubber trim and used that to initially hold it, and then screwed it in via the holes into the A pillar :)

eBay removed it as I said I've got it for sale elsewhere so I've relisted them here:

Can you change the LEDs in these as Stav was on about maybe getting them and putting in blue LEDs? Have any of you lot ever tried that as it's not something I've seen before.
