j_jza80
One of my Whippet puppies, Paddy, died this morning at the vets. He broke one of his front legs while running around in the park with my other Whippet, Lupo. They operated on his leg this morning, and he died as a result of the anesthetic. To say i'm gutted is an understatement He was such a cheeky little charchter, and will be sorely missed in this household. He was only 7 months old. RIP little man. AndrewOW
OMG I'm so sorry. I don't know what I'd do if we lost a pet, I'd be a mess. Me too. Sorry to hear of your loss, and in such a supposedly 'safe' environment too.

tbourner
and in such a supposedly 'safe' environment too. Putting animals under is always more dangerous than humans though, AFAIK even local anaesthetic is dodgy for cats and dogs.

j_jza80
He was such a clever little dog too. He tought himself to open doors the little bugger You couldn't leave him in the house on his own either, as he'd look around the tables for the most expensive or fragile things he could get his mouth round, then run off and hide with it somewhere He ate a remote control helicopter I was given for christmas. They sleep in the kitchen, and you could guarantee that when you went down on a morning, the oven gloves, dish cloths etc would be on his bed.
