Guest gzaerojon
Whoops... it apears that 10 mins at gas mark 6 is too long... http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p195/R3DG3CKO/whoops.jpg doh!! these are sooo delicate, the lenses warp and melt so easily. you need the shortest exposure to heat as possible. what did you melt? :edit: you added a pic. have you got a spare? R3DG3CKO ROB
it's only the outer plastic shell and I have two sets of lights so no harm done (thank god) I've got the clear lenses out of the donor set and just need to take the others apart... once my new bulbs arrive... Kev_A
Sorry to res an old thread but I'm just about to do this and didn't feel the need to start a new one when all the info was here. How has this car got clear red red clear http://www.monoracing.se/savarturbobilder/bak.jpg And this one has clear red clear red?
Animal
You need to get hold of another set of rear lights and use the clear reversing light lenses to replace a pair of red brake light lenses. I've not done this, so don't know how much hassle it is.

SteveR
They have, I think Dude did it many moons ago on his car. I forget which trader offers this, but IanR's previous car had indicators (he chose to keep the red lenses - it is possibvle to change them). Edit actually he had LED rears too: Edited April 30, 2009 by SteveR (see edit history)

Guest 94RZ
http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/6391/photo0021nn8.jpg http://img206.imageshack.us/img206/1743/dsc00070mw2.jpg im surprised no ones done a full clear lens conversion at the back These ones have all the lenses popped out. The problem with replacing all four is that the one with the reflector is an odd shape and really difficult to replace with a standard lense. If you got something custom made, it would definitely be doable. The thing to remember with losing the reflector is that it's probably not going to pass MOT. It gives you an idea of what it would look like though.
