Digger009
I have recently replaced these with some 19's, and am having some issues with rubbing, so I'm looking to swap these for some suspension to remove the rubbing problem. Not really sure what they're worth either, but could well do with a refurb. Had a price to get them done (£230), but I've never had it done before so not too sure what the people are like, or if its worth getting done. Anyone have some they fancy swapping? 1 rear was an mot fail, hence the swap of wheels now, but the others all were passed. The fronts were only replaced about 6-8k ago, and I dont drive like a loon so they're in good nick. I am hoping to get some pics up in the next couple of days as well. Digger009
I just need something to clear the 19's. I guess standard would clear, but under cornering would rub, but tbh I dont know what I need.
ajazyasin
roll arches.
Digger009
It still sits too low, sits about half an inch away from the rear arch, and the front isn't much better. I'll probably get that done as well, but this needs to be done I think.
little num
sounds like your offset is way off on the new wheels, they must be sticking out alot for them to rub, 19" should fit perfect with the right offset as some people fit 20" lol. jassi_hayre
I have some 19's which are absolutely fine. Check the tyre size. I think you have to have xxx / 35 / 19's front and xxx / 30 / 19's rear.
slim9000
Do you want to sell these? I'm desperately after some stock uk tt alloys.
Digger009
They're rubbing on the top of the arch, the suspension is too low. Fronts are fine for movement, just the movement when I hit a bump or accelerate I get rubbing. even when I bought the car with standards on, it looked on its ar$e then, so I kinda knew that this would be an issue. But yeah, the wheels are still going, have had an offer of £150 for them, so anything more than that would be considered. Guess the best thing is to just sell them, and use the money to buy some new suspension.
Digger009
I should have said as well that this will include the nuts as well as centre caps etc.
Digger009
Here are some pics of the wheels for those who are interested These are straight off the car, not cleaned them at all, but are in decent condition. The tyre I've taken the pic of is the worst of the lot.
