b7_hrr Posted February 17, 2009 Author Share Posted February 17, 2009 why do we sale a car ! 1st cuz we need the money or 2nd the car is fucked ........ so 4 the ones that know me you know i have been fucked over and over again by differend cowboys since i start to mod my car but life is good we learn doing mistakes and i will never mod a car cuz with the money i spent i could buy the new GTR (R35) so all of you no the reason why want 2 sale the car . money not a problem so then must be 2nd option . anyway some of the comments made are true and 600hp is death trap around the corner and the only reason im still alive is cuz im using the boost at 15psi (429 hp/423 torq ). so the only thing left 4 me to do is 2 scrap the car ps: thanks for all your comments . for all the supra fans best wishes and be safe Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
j_jza80 Posted February 17, 2009 Share Posted February 17, 2009 You could break it for parts, you should recoup some of your expense that way (Not £15k though), or transfer the running gear into a stock shell, get it set up with some good brakes and you should be able to get £7-8k for it. Like I said, braking it or swapping the running gear into another car would make sense. Tub it out and turn it into a drag car, BUT given the love that engine has seen it would require a new engine... B7 - You can talk about cowboys working on the car and stuff however your own videos and the way you hammer that throttle are a reflection on you, not the people who built the car... Is the only transverse member left forward of the bulkhead, the engine mount cross member ? Yes, it's only the subframe thats holding the front end of the car in place, pretty much everything forward of the turrets is gone. The only thing left is the rails. Surely with some tubing the front end could be made safe again then sell the car on? It could be made safe again with some work, but it'd mean loosing the flip up front end. Lot of work to do, but it could be restored with a bit of work. The main issue for me is the way the car has been treated, seen it a couple of times and the fella that owns it has thrashed the nuts off it, even from cold. I am not over exaggerating either, there are many people who have lost their lives in standard/factory built cars but you'll have no chance with that car when it all goes wrong!! You wouldn't drive sat on the end of the bonnet would you but that's effectively what you are doing as there is absolutely no protection. You may aswell get a motorbike!! I know you have spent a lot of cash my friend, but the money you have spent will seem like pennies if you end up with blood on your hands. Good luck! H. Most people scrap knackered cars, or sell them as parts; not advertise them as road-legal show cars worth over £15k. Putting on the old Matt H cowboy tuner routine almost made me feel sympathy for the guy, then I remembered I can't see the videos at work, but if the comments are right, he's a pleb, so I laughed instead.
