I am now launching the MKIV F1 2009 season fantasy league, as detailed in my previous thread http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=173882 The league is FREE to enter so it's just friendly competition. I'm actually throwing in a prize for 1st place at the end of the season - I'll donate £5 to the chosen charity of your choice! Here's how the league works : Select one driver from each table in the Document attached. No duplicate fantasy team will be entered and so first come will be first served. If a duplicate team is received then the later entrant will be asked to resubmit a different team. All entries should come to me via PM, I will update the Fantasy thread with all entries every day if I can so you can see if your choice is taken before PMing me. I will publish after each race a spreadsheet showing the following: F1 Results F1 League Table F1 Laps MKIV Results MKIV Table The F1 Results and League Table will be as per the International F1 regulations i.e 10 points for a win, 8 points for second etc. The MKIV Results and League Table will be made from the following: A win will be 10 x 10 points + number of laps completed, so say a win at Monza will give you 10 x 10 (points) + 53 (laps) = 153 MKIV points. Subsequently a third place will give you 10 x 6 (points) + 53 (laps) = 113 points. Even if your choice does not finish you should receive points if your choice has completed at least a lap. This way some of the less achievable drivers at Monza will still earn 53 points if the driver completes the race. Any driver who has a disqualification will in turn have the points earned in the league subtracted. Any failed starts inducing a rerun of the safety lap (so decrementing the race distance) will NOT count as a lap completed for a point, as that's just not a lap at racing distance. There are over 400 possible combinations of choice from the table (Excluding Honda at the moment). You can choose either ex-Honda drivers in your selection now if you so wish, if Honda do not turn up at the first race you will be allowed to reselect from those two tables. The same will occur for any driver/team who fold. If a driver goes out mid-season you will again be allowed to reselect or just run with the replacement driver. Had a look on the BBC, they aren't even putting the coverage out in HD. I was thinking with all that HD broadcasting kit that Bernie bought a few years ago might've been put into the deal with BBC but it seems not. Maybe I'm on a lot of people's ignore list I tried to keep the polysyllabic word count down, but I think most people here are generaly not inept. Far from it in fact. C'mon peeps, it's just a bit of light hearted fun! And it's FREE I've got more entries on the other league I'm running in my IT department than I have on a forum full of car enthusiasts. Put everyones together, correctly I hope and added mine to the bottom. Vettel or Glock was a tough choice. Toyota seem to be doing well in tests at the moment but Vettel has a lot of promise in him... also gambled on Button and his team on doing a full season!
