_Shane_ Posted February 15, 2009 Share Posted February 15, 2009 hey all, going servicing my supra next weekend. Question for ye to make sure I get the proper gear for it. What oil should i get ? What spark plugs should i get ? Car is running 1.2bar on hybrids with BPU and is producing 397bhp and 430 torque. Has the following been done in the last year or 6000 miles: - engine oil - oil filter - air filter - plugs In the last 3 years: - brake fluid - coolant - gearbox oil - fuel filter In the last 5 years - clutch fluid - diff oil Personally I always use silklene ProS for the engine oil, toyota filter, NGK copper plugs for BPU. Used to use Dot 5.1 for brake and clutch, but after some recent posts from CW think I'll be changing to a high quality Dot4 in future. Coolant, run of the mill Halfords Glycol based. gearbox, depends on which one. Fuel filter stock. Diff, Silkolene 75 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The Iridium based plugs will last longer, but will cost a lot more; the coppers will last less time, but cost pennies. _Shane_ Posted February 15, 2009 Author Share Posted February 15, 2009 Since i owned the soup, i change the rad with a performance rad and flushed the system out and filled it back up with toyota red for life or what ever it is called. When i fitted the new D2's the brake fluid was sorted. Only fitted a new hks filter a few months back. What i plan on doing next saturday is - engine oil - plugs - oil filter Is the fuel filter easy to change ? Will sort that out too while its been done. I have the car now about 16 months and have put up about 8k miles on it since then. supraGZaerotop Posted April 25, 2009 Share Posted April 25, 2009 question, im looking to give the car a service soon, have bought silko pro s, coilpack clips, need oil and air filter, question is about plugs and if i should bother changing them, the previous owner had hks iridium put in back in 2006, car has done about 25k+ on them, car feels fine, no missfires etc. ive read that they only suppose to last around 15k, shall i bother changing them, if so thinking of the ngk iridium as im not paying £100 for hks, what grade ngk tho? 6,7,8 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
