bignum
What sort of power can be expected with headers, inlet, ecu, cams, not that i`m going to fit 1 in my car.
Alex
Try the websites in the US for modding Vette engines, they tend to have packages with a minimum HP expectation. Lingenfelter etc would be a good start. http://www.lingenfelter.com/engine-packages/corvette/c5-ls1-ls6-zo6-1997-2004/350-cid-ls1-430-hp http://www.lingenfelter.com/engine-packages/corvette/c5-ls1-ls6-zo6-1997-2004/383-cid-ls1-zo6 http://www.lingenfelter.com/engine-packages/corvette/c5-ls1-ls6-zo6-1997-2004/427-cid-ls1-zo6
JamieP
About 500 UK;) bhp at the fly, maybe a tad more if you go wild with the cam but not advisable. Far better to supercharge it imo, similar cost and you get a shit load of Ftlb to go with it.
Homer
Done a bit of research on this over the past year New headers, inlet manifold and a mappable ECU will release a huge amount of power, 450bhp at the fly is easily acheivable with those alone. Cams will make a big difference to top end power but will lose from the bottom end, 500bhp at the flywheel is very realistic with that added. As Jamie says, a SC is the best all round modification to make, it'll release a lot of torque across the entire rev range, but they are fairly expensive to do right. If you want to go wild there are plenty of bolt on goodies available for relatively low cost, race heads and the above will result in over 600bhp (and with injectors, pistons, rods, etc, you could be looking at a lot more) It's all pretty low cost tuning compared to the 2JZ and there are FAR more tried and tested parts available. Soop Dogg
And the stock PCM (ECU) can be mapped using one of a number of available tuning devices/software that are available. (LS1Edit would be my choice) I have a contact for such software in the UK if you need contact details. As Jamie said, supercharging is the way to go if mental power is what you're into. JamieP
RapidGB are very good with these engines, Mark is a great guy and knows how to map them. http://www.rapid-gb.co.uk/

bignum
Someone talking BS down the pub mate, or have you been challenged for pinks? Sort of mate, a guy up the road has fitted 1 in a lexus 200 with the mods listed, reckons its doing 560 bhp 400 @ 1k revs, ive asked him to bring it on the trackday, he`s gona let me know:)
JamieP
Depending on the dyno and how high lift the cam is 560 is just about possible.
Dragonball
I am just about to stick some new headers and hi-flow on my Monaro CV8 and with a re-map look to get 325 HP at the wheels Add a SC (£6000) for another 100HP and corresponding torque Sorry - but I can only talk 'at the wheels' as the rest is all BS
