Honda Del Sol Turbo

I've decided that i definately want a supra now so i need to sell this :(

The cars a 92 SiR transtop, it was imported a month before i bought it so i have modified it and worked on it from pretty much as soon as it entered the country. I have alot of original Honda service history from Japan and receipts for over 10K of parts that i have fitted to it aswell as extensive pictures to show the quality of the rebuild. I'm a gas turbine areo engineer by trade so its not a boyracer bodged together job. Its got the rare JDM bits like cupholders, high level brake light and gathers speaker covers (aftermarket speakers though) even has a flare still!!!

I've included a spec below but added to this the car has been serviced every 3months with quality parts and has been mapped three times to ensure that the map is near perfect, the end result being 279.6 at the weheels with a low 1BAR boost. The car is always run on high octane (has to be due to the mapping) and is always brought to temperature before drives and cooled using the turbo timer after a blast. The car also has a Honda fitted (certificated) Thatcham Cat 1 alarm and imobiliser and locking wheel nuts

I have to put the rear interior back in (have all the parts just need to get a min this weekend), if it looks like its going to sell quickly i will leave all the gauges (inc AEM UEGO wideband system and Apexi Rev/Speed meter) in with it for the sale as well as a pioneer CD player with ipod connection in the centre pocket thingy. The only real bad points are a slight bubble on the rear drivers arch (very small so easily catchable) and a section just behind both doors that are a slightly duller grey from when i removed my sideskirts. This cant really be seen unless you get close and look for it though. The car starts first time and runs fantastically producing some VERY good power figures and being very responsive on the road. The suspension can be a little bit harsh sinse its poly bushed and on coilovers but this can be dampened slightly as i prefer to have it on a slightly harder setting. The car has had a set of K-sport 6pots fitted in the last 6months (pressure bled by Honda) and also a set of Rota fighters with Yoko parada Spec2s in near new condition.

Im looking for offers AROUND 7200. BUT would consider a part ex for a lowish milegage TT6 (jspec or UK) in white or black, I know its a rough time of the year to be selling car so i am open to negotiation. Please get in touch if you are at all interested.

the spec is as below, any questions feel free to PM me or text 07901825622 (work stupid hours so texts better). I'll also try and get some newer pics up as the car has had an SiR lip, brakes, pins, RSM sinse these.

Nice car and good luck with the sale.

Very very limited market for something like this at the moment, esp at 7200.

Check ur competition. They are lower in price and higher in hp some of them.

Some k20'ed eks and egs go for the money ur asking.

I agree with what people are saying about the price but if you look at the specs of some of those cars they are using very low quality parts (one has a D series engine and wants 5500) and exterior wise are standard. Im sure people on here would understand that high HP is nothing compared to high spec/quality????? I could crank the boost up and get a dyno sheet for big numbers but its mapped reliably and for driveability (im not interested in a dyno queen, a cars for driving on the road) but i do see where your coming from.

Saying that this is one of the most powerful Delsols in the UK (i know civics slightly more but due to chassis twist sols arent pushed as far) and this will EAT a K20d civic. Quite a few 'serious cars' have been embarrassed by my 'toy'. 7200 is a starting price and i will take less although i am reluctant with the parts on it. If it doesnt go for a decent price i will keep it as a track car, i've just been out in it and love driving it too much to give away!! :-)

My mate had a turbo del sol I helped fit the turbo and it was a beast when fully mapped, I would get it up on the del sol forum but in the current climate honestly you will be lucky to get close to that price, he ended up swapping it for a mk3 evo.

I've got it up on Delsoluk now mate. What was his name mate? Might have seen/heard of the car. Yeah my idea is this is the lowest id be happy with NOW as the engine/brakes etc are only 8ish months old. If it doesnt sell i'll keep it and have fun with it until next year and drop the price.

If it does sell....... new car for me now!!!

I did think about putting it back to standard but it would take some serious time and money as EVERYTHING will need to be changed. Id also have to buy a standard B16 which would cost me a fair bit. Im gutted but i'll see how she does on the track day and might keep her as a track car and a soop as my day to day
