The new Sepultura album sucks (no surprise there) and I beleive a new Cavalera Conspiracy album is either out or out soon (I've not checked).

So did the Soulfly album. They should have left all the self-indulgent 'tribal' stuff behind after Roots.

I liked the Roots album, but everything went to shit when Max & Igor left. One or two good songs on Dante XXI, but that's about it. Only liked a couple of Soulfly tracks.

The new album is a concept album based on 'A Clockwork Orange'. Ookaay.

Animal i take it all back :(

I saw DT at the braehead arean in Glasgow last year and that boy Petrucci was simply amazing .

LOL

You'll be a guitarist, then. My mate has a JP signature Ibanez (with the fluorescent Picasso design) that cost him a fortune. Damn nice guitar though.

I saw 'em in Blackburn last year and me & my mate were the only ones moving the entire gig!

Mike Portnoy is the reason I keep buying more cymbals, lol.

At least the new Cannibal Corpse and Napalm Death albums are killer.

Ooh yeah, looking forward to the new DT album. Bought Chaos In Motion DVD set last weekend, Mike Portnoy is a genius.

Not too fussed about DEP, but you can't go wrong with Slayer and LoG are pretty good too.

\m/ >.

Yes, I'm a big Grindcore/Death Metal fan. Been into Napalm Death & Carcass since about '87. Gotta love George 'Corpsegrinder''s vocals on the later Cannibal Corpse stuff - he is the troo voice of Death Metal. Alex Webster's bass work is insane, too.

[goes off to listen to 'Evisceration Plague' again]

I rest my case. ;)

Your rest your case?!?

Yeah  i think i was about the youngest at the concert as well , lots of older guys sittin looking bored .

I sold all my guitar kit a few years ago unfortunatly , i had two years of lessons and then lost intrest - i believe i sold it all to fund some wheels for my civic :(

Joey Jordison was the guy who kinda opened my eyes to drummers and i realised it was much more than just hitting a drum with a stick. Mike Portnoy has a frightening set-up , how can you use that many cymbals !!!! :D

P.s Prodigy are crap imo :innocent:

Joey is a good drummer, his blasts are so damn fast! He gets a lot of stick on the drummer forum mostly for the fact he plays in Slipknot, so people automatically hate him.

You can never have too many cymbals. On a kit like Portnoy's 'Mirage Monster', some are duplicated as the kit is so damn big. It all adds to the overall sound.

Maybe new Dream theater , Lamb of god , Dillinger escape plan and Slayer albums ;) planned for the first half of 2009 will cheer you up ?

Tis what im looking forward too.

New DEP album. Hoorah!

Woo, you go Fred, you 'da man!

As far as record label owning, golf playing, white faux rap-rockers go, Fred Durst has to be my favourite.

There is no accounting for taste is there??

H.

On this forum with some of the cars here you really do have to wonder.

You think Portnoy's drum kit is big?

Bah.....check out Terry Bozzio's.

The award for takin' the p**s goes to him!

Another amazing drummer.

Okay, I'll take your Bozzio and raise you...
