AndrewOW
In your catalogue of weak jokes that rates as one of the weakest. The thing is, I wasn't joking! I'm normally deadly serious. Whenever I hear Pendulum mentioned, I think of you for some unknown reason, and it's a horrible image!
Mike
True. Not even Chiefgroover returns my calls these days.
Max Headroom
....... I'd just have to remember not to race anything. Most folk see a supe in the back window and move over, they have no idea its a NA or a TT. It just looks mean
SteveR
The only advice I would give your friend is, get it in time to bring it to all the major club events.
Gaz6002
I'd have thought that weight at either end would create a pendulum effect. Odd. In mid-slide the weight distribution of a mid-engined car will mean that the rear end swings out almost uncontrollably, which is what the learned sir meant by a pendulum effect. It's far from an accurate description, because the pendulum effect is actually amplified by a car being mid-engined, not created by it. Basically, if you lose the back end on an MR2 you'll know about it. Reverse generally has to be engaged. In a Supra you've got less chance of looking like a mong
matt k
Slow, but look nice. It all depends what you want from a car Martin. £3k will pick you up an E36 M3.

matt k
Hmm..... I don't think I'm a BMW kind of person. Good cars (all be it often driven by nobs), I'm considering going halves on one with my mate as a track car.

Gaz6002
I stand corrected in my description! But you knew what i meant:p Of course, I've owned 2 Supra TTs and a pretty rapid MR2 turbo
JamesF
When I looked about 6 months ago £3000 didnt get an e36 M3... I remember seeing a 4 door M3 for nearer to £4000. And in my researching I read that the difference between a 328i and an M3 was huge, but if you had the M3 you needed to put at least £1000 away in the bank for when it went wrong.
