Jake
I was outbid in the last 6 seconds of an eBay auction for a set of wheels last night. (Item number: 4538152621 if anyone's interested) Today I got a Second Chance Offer email saying I can have them for the amount I bid. I noticed that the username in the email was different to the username of the seller in the eBay listing. I was about to ask the folks over at uk.people.consumers.ebay when I saw a post about the same thing and linking to this on the BBC web site. This eBay scamming business is getting ridiculous now. terribleturner
Funny you should bring this up Jake as i've suspected this for some time now. This way they get your max bid and get more money. They really after crafty now on there.

LeeT
what are you doing bidding on more wheels?
Jake
LOL! Don't tell Teresa, she'd kill me! I seem to have ruined my Hi-Joins by leaving them totally covered in brake dust and road salt while I was working in Dublin for a week. The laquer on them is totally knackered now and it seems a right bugger to get off.
neilg
I have this done to me when i sold my wheels on ebay last month. I sold them and the winning bidder took them no problems. However, a couple of days later i got a email from someone asking me if the second chance offer i had given was genuine. News to me! Someone was sending out second chance offers from my account on my wheels with a random email address. What a c*ck! Go steady people
