Thinking of Buying a 4x4- advice please...

Recommended Posts

Basically, Dad is looking to buy a 4x4 within the next few days, criteria is:

1) Diesel

2) very good reliabillity

3) has to be very well spec'd (sat nav, heated leathers etc)

4) pref have 1 years manufactures warranty.

Basically, we go to france/swiss every year to go skiing on the alps, so it has to be very reliable, and be able to go up the alps when its snowing.

looking at a ML 320 Cdi Sport, or maybe a Audi Q7 S-line.

budget is upto £25k

any ideas? or anyone know any well specd and decent priced ones?

thanks, med

Thats nice, but not a diesel...

now that is nice, really well spec'd! i thought the newer ML's are ok? i know the old ML's are unreliable

land rover, tdi vogue 2004?

No warranty on that age range. i heard that range rovers wernt that reliable

We bought a Dodge Nitro 2.8 Diesel with every extra you can get and I absolutley love it (the big hard looks are not to everyones liking or taste though).

Good on fuel for motorway runs too which is a big plus;)

Not much money either

i quite like it, although my dad doesnt like the looks.

Well we have a few in the family:

i have a L200 elegance

mam new HSE discovery

dad range rover Vogue

and my bro has a Ford F350 King Ranch

love my truck, and in a honest opinion the disco is alot better to drive than the range rover (hate driving it). And my bro's is just stupidly big and a pain in the arse.
