csa
I'm changing to eurospec's on the back and when I removed the rotors I saw that the "pads" (don't know the english word) were a little worn down. Question is, is it time to change, or are they just fine. (how many mm are on them from new?)

colsoop
They don't have a great deal of depth when new. I have a new set here i can check in the morning if you like for thickness.
merckx
I'de change them, now that they're all stripped you might aswell Especially if you're going to be fitting new discs and pads, the shoes don't get much wear but there doesn't appear to be much left on them. GreaseMonkey
Refrence from this link http://www.turbosupras.com/pages/en/pages/specifications/JZA80/a80tsrm.htm go into BRAKE SYSTEM and go to page BR 60 onwards will be relevant for Hand /Parking Brake maintainance. or if the link doesn't work here's what it quoted: 2. MEASURE BRAKESHOE LINING THICKNESS. Using a ruler, measure the thickness of the shoe lining (see diagram in manual) STANDARD THICKNESS: 2.5 mm (0.098in.) MINIMUM THICKNESS: 1.0 mm (0.039in.) If the lining thickness is at the minimum thickness or less, or if there is severe or uneven wear replace the brake shoe.

csa
where can I find the partnumbers for the brake shoes?
GreaseMonkey
Try this website http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/ as can be quite a handy reference for looking for a Part Number using the Toyota EPC Files. Make sure you have your Vehicle Frame/ Chassis number and Model Name/ Grade handy to make sure the part number you are looking for is correct. Could save you time if you have go to Toyota dealer for bits?. If not, Ask one of the Traders on this Club forum as they can be quite helpful and cheaper than a Toyota Dealer.
