Ok so i recently purchased my 93 mkiv supra na and am loving it! But a very mysterious thing happens... Ok so driving along and say i hit the highway i shift into 5th gear and no less than 2 min later the check engine light comes on! WTF! I would pull over and check it out everything is fine no low coolants or nothing! I can shut off the car and the light goes away! and will not come back on... the only other time that light has come on when im not in 5th is i was driving on the highway in 4th(was not paying attention..stupid me) for like 20 min and then it came on again... so i have absolutely no idea why it would only do this in 5th mainly and i have asked my mechanic friends and i was hoping that someone on here may have an idea... Any help at all will be greatly appreciated!!:)

Sorry the active spoiler down light, but it doesn't sound like that. Have you checked for stored error codes?

i have not checked yet no, i was reading a different post about them tho and the one code a guy got was 42 when he gets to the bottom of a hill and puts it into neutral (clutch in for me) his car shuts off, and my car actually does that as well that code means No.1 speed sensor(if i remember correctly)... have u had to troubleshoot that sensor before?

it gives a list of things to try on there but i was just curious if anyone has found an easier way to do it...I am slightly mechanically inclined but not overly...lol so any advice would be great!
