Who are you insured with? And are you prepared to travel a little distance?

Insured with Elephant. Will travel. Nothing wrong with the windscreen i have, its just got a blue sun strip built into the glass and wont look good with the new body paint.

No good with elephant. They are tight as can be. You will need to contact them and get their company to come out......good luck!

Thanks Pig, i wasn't looking to get the insurance company involved, just wondering if anyone had a windscreen for sale.

I can get you a screen if you want one. They are about £100 + vat and you would have to collect from bishops stortford.

Please note to anyone watching, i am not a trader, i do not make money out of this. Im just trying to help as my friend owns a windscreen company.

Thanks very much for your help Pig. That sounds good, not sure where Bishops Stortford is though. Do you know if i require new rubbers when replacing the screen? Not sure if you have to cut the old rubber to replace

The OEM front windscreens all have a sunstrip built into them, I believe; sometimes it's green and sometimes it's blue - I think the rest of the glass is also very slightly tinted in one of those colours, too.

Jon, are they the same spec as OEM, but without the built-in sunstrip? My screen is chipped and I want to get it replaced when I eventually get the car resprayed.
