Right peeps im back yet again with another problem, since the full decat, on idle the car is smoking and it is slightly blue, which I know means a turbo problem, it does not smoke all the time but was followed the other night and when i put my foot down it smoked, normal driving it does not smoke, bloke behind me (he part runs UJCC so knows a fair bit) said it was oil smoke and said due to decat and higher boost levels it could be the turbo seals..!! I have noticed a very slight drop in power on the first turbo but nothing major, any ideas people..??? Think this could be pricey.. :(

By all means get them refurbed (hybrid or to stock is your choice, personally I'm v happy with hybrids) but I shouldn't bother putting the cat back in as it will make no difference to the longevity your new ones as long as everything else is set up ok. I notice you're car is a UK spec have you checked the condition of your intercooler as many UK cars ones are pretty much knackered now, mine's in appauling condition (soon to be changed). Also if it's the one I'm thinking of the Blitz induction kits are supposed to have pretty poor filtration qualitys, not what you need on a turbo'd engine.

Shut it Morgan or you'll never see your coil packs alive again :p (they are in the post tomorrow am btw :D )

Get a refurb, CW recommends Turbo Technics for a proper job @ reasonable cost. Leave the cats out, but good call on checking the intercooler! The dodgy aftermarket filter is the HKS mushroom one, seems to murder Skylines. Dunno about the Blitz, Apexi or K&N are OK though.

If the intercooler is fubar than you are looking at about £500 on top of the refurb job :( but you can fit it yourself if you aren't afraid of a spanner, that'll save you a few bob... /silverlining
