AlexM
Terrible bad luck, though also very fortunate you didn't go for a swim. At least you've come out relatively unscathed.

Sean1933
Such a shame! best colour aswell! Does anyone know what happends to these dead supras?! They get sold to salvage companies who auction them off. Look at http://www.hbc.co.uk as they are one of the big agents. They are then bought by anyone who bids for them, normally breakers yards. They then either repair or break for parts.
jevansio
Really sorry to see that mate, was going to sell my RLTC but I think I'll install it now, I guess no matter how smooth you drive it, when you hit the black ice there's nothing you can do. I've just been out in the Corsa, came to a downhill junction slowly on the ungritted roads and just started sliding, even with the ABS on, think I was only doing 10-15 mph yet it was like the car was on sheet ice. Overshot the junction (luckly it's quiet and nothing was coming), so I shot to the shop for some beer & put the car away. Not great weather for driving even little FWD cars at the mo
stinboy
Gutted for you mate Glad you walked away (relatively) unscathed. Probably the last thing on your mind at the moment but are you going to be charged for repairs to the bridge?

Homer
What a shame, you put so much work into that car Good to hear you came out of it alright, could have been very bad if it'd ended up in the river.
Sted
Gutted for you Sean, just glad your ok! It just brings it home how bad the road conditions can be and catch you out!
SteveR
It was cold today but it might not have been ice, the salt that's put down on the roads is hydroscopic so will absourb moisture from the air and reduce traction a lot, even on what looks like a bone dry road; I did exactly the same thing as you in my first Supra's first Winter but thankfully caught it before I left the road sideways.
