Full service time.

So, seeing as I am sans service history (fresh import) for my car, Ive decided on a full service.

Im talking cambelt, filters, fluids, the lot. Ive heard a figure of about £3-400 banded around for a big service like this, but what Im really interested in is finding a really trusted place to do this near Edinburgh (happy to travel a bit for the right place!).

Just want to give her to a garage who will use the correct parts and fluids, and not have to tell them what diff, trans, engine oils to put in etc.

Like I say, cost isn't the main concern here, I just want a place with a proven record of working on the mkiv.

Any help is much appreciated guys!

the cam belt change may go like a swiss watch but as happens quite frequently the crank pulley is super glued and welded on and a complete biatch to get off, this is when the bill may start creeping up as the radiator has to come off to allow access, coolant out etc etc, try and make sure you use a garage that has experience with supras

You are best getting all the fluids and other bits your self to make sure you no whats going in her, Then take it to a good place to get it all done !!!

Take a look at that bud will tell you what oils and stuff you need

It just so happens I stumbled across that thread last night, and it is excellent.

Id be quite happy to provide all the fluids to a garage, as it gives you peace of mind that theyre using the tried and tested stuff. Still looking for recommendations for Scottish garages with Supra experience though!

Hypertech in Bonnybridge has been mentioned on here, any other offers?

Aside from the service, the best thing you can do with a freshly imported car is to change the tyre's. They are always junk by the time they have spend many months on a boat and many more waiting for export. Check the tyre date on the wall to see how old they are, you might well be shocked!
