JamieP
Ive had both them and much prefer the Navara D40, Dont get a D22 they have big engine problems. L200 has a terrible seating position and is not as nice to drive.
Dave F
Some older Navaras have engine issues look at knackerednavaras.com and the some of the l200s between 03 and 53 had head troubles. I think Jamie p has had both so will be able to tell you from an owners point of view. I was looking for an l200 before christmas but wanted a private low mileage example...not many out there

Paul
I got a private low mileage L200 Warrior a year ago (14K miles then, 3yrs old) and I love it. As Jamie has stated the seating position is a little odd but you get used to it and they are very comfortable if not a little basic inside. Mines got the power upgrade and pulls like a train, this week is the first proper snow it's been in and it is so stable and copes with everything, been a real joy to drive. The one I've got is a '55 plate, would avoid '03/53's as they had engine problems too.
edge
Sister has had the l200, ford ranger and now has the navara and she loves it, so much so her friend got one too.
gordy07
I have only driven the older l200 although my boss has the new shape one. He has had nothing but trouble with it,its been in the garage about 15times in 18months:( I would go for the nissan
JamieP
I also had a few problems with my 55 plate L200, It kept leaking water and everytime they said they fixed it it did it again on the next downpour, they replaced the carpet 3 times, then because of the water i started to get electrical problems and got fed up and sold it. Paul
Not had any issues like that with mine? Got to say that the Mitsubishi build quality/Paint finish is nowhere near as good as Toyota.
mark newman
the d22 is probley the best out of all above, there is no problem with the engines. i have hade mine from new its a 54 plate . it is the most powerfull , the d40 is just a bit more but you will pay about 3 k more. I pull a 3.2 tone boat with mine no prubs. if you want more power you can have it chiped for about £115.00 its a great work tool , and also looks good as well. You must be new to the internet if you think the D22 has no engine problems:D how do you work out its the most powerfull? D22 has 133bhp and D40 has 174bhp, ive had a D22 and its not a patch on the D40. http://www.knackerednavara.co.uk/

DJButler
We have a 4 year old L200 and a 8 month old Navarra at work, the l200 is better on fuel, pulls as well and is a far superior ride to the choppy, noisy gutless Navarra. Downside is it's not as big and macho as the Nissan. L200 is chipped and has over 100,000 on the clock, Nissan is chipped and has 28,000 on the clock. You pays your money and makes your choice. I personally would not give either room on my driveway.
Carl_S
Navara. I feel the L200's are too common, and it's good to have something that sounds american indian.
