supra_aero
Now this is a car I'd like to have. How cool would it be driving around in this. http://pistonheads.com/sales/853138.htm I am seriously considering getting one as my next toy. michael
I respect your choice of novelty vehicle but I think the appeal would wear off pretty quicky for me, I'd be paranoid to leave it anywhere for starters.
supra_aero
Would the appeal wear off? I must say I can't see owning it for over 3-6 months as the attention will get repetitively annoying I suppose.
AndrewOW
Fancy that as a daily driver? Trying to get it to start, would be the first problem, of many, I'd thought! You would certainly get lots of attention, but be careful of travelling at speed, because you don't want to be disappearing out of time just going to the shops! michael
Would the appeal wear off? I can only speak for myself on this one and fully appreciate that a car of this type may hold a longer lasting appeal for others.

michael
Anyone else keep humming the back to the future theme tune after seeing that link? No sorry, I am humming "hear the drummer (get wicked)" though. Maybe I'm not enough of a fan of the films to really get this.

You need to re-watch the film to become re-engaged. I have this sudden urge to watch the film now. Speaking of the film, did anyone else spot a very young Elijah Wood (Frodo, from Lord of the rings) in back to the future 2? Was his first movie role actually - bit of movie trivia for you. tomgeer
Back to the future was on sky1 or 2 the other night, me and the missus watched it and I said to her, it would be smart to own a delorean wouldn't it, she said no, thinking about it shes right too. How much does the delorean weigh by the way anyone, peformance figures must be awful, aren't they a stainless body?

RiceRocket
Cheaper here and stock too Anyone else keep humming the back to the future theme tune after seeing that link? It's one of my top 20 films but I can't remember a theme tune, just the ZZ Top riff from one of them. How much does the delorean weigh by the way anyone, peformance figures must be awful, aren't they a stainless body? 1.23 tonnes, 200hp and 0-60 = 8.8s according to Wiki

Carl_S
If the supra was around in mkiv form it would have gone well in the film. If the film bombed then the car would not be so desirable. Like Michael says, the novelty wears off, and it would be a mission to leave parked without worry. To drive a film prop replica around is too showy, even for me. Poor Michael J Fox though, time catches us with us all, but.
