DaveSupTT
Okay guys, My girlfriend and I are planning on going away in September this year for either 10 or 14 nights All inclusive. All hotels are are 4* and are working out around £600 each. We are inbetween; Egypt - Sharm el Sheikh Turkey - Not sure where, maybe Side? Dominican Republic Cuba Where would you choose? Has anyone been to any of the above places, what are your thoughts. For that price, would you go elsewhere, if so where? I quite fancy Cuba but were unsure as apparently its hurricaine season, and my g/f is worried about not having good weather. Any advise would be greatly appreciated! Chris-B
Would recommend going to Cuba its a great place, I wouldn’t worry to much about the weather I went about two years ago in August and the weather was fantastic, sunny every day, not a drop of rain. I stayed in Cayo Coco which had beaches and a sea to die for but had little in the form of out of the resort entertainment etc. However there are plenty of excursions to do such as visiting Havana for a few days (recommend this, as it was fantastic) I’ve just booked to go to Dominican Republic for June this year, staying in Bavaro after hearing lots of good things about the place. With the way the euro is at the moment the Caribbean is a good choice
Carl_S
I would go to wales, or if that doesn't take your fancy Scotland. I would love to go there. Inverness / Fort William in scotland, or anywhere in Monmouthshire in Wales. Make sure you get a log fire in your bedroom of course.

Fifty
Hurricane season Cuba is June 1 to November 30 so is a risk. Been there in Sept and was no problem -- great fun all round but food can be a little err strange - they seem to have an ability not to cook it lol. Egypt - always good - especially for snorkel diving etc or history - pretty much hot. Dominican Republic also been ; was good , bear in mibnd same hurricane threat. Turkey - not been but looks good;lots to see and hot. Where wud I go - Maldives again methinks might get in your budget. I would suggest Sicily perhaps Rich

DaveSupTT
well were after somwhere that we have the option of chilling out, but also we would like it if we had the opton to do something at night. So basically we not after a Clubbing holiday and were not after a sit on the beach all day and nothing else. Somewhere inbetween would be good! Somewhere inbetween would be good! that would rule out most of Cuba and the Dominican Republic then, most of the resorts are beach bound. How about Cancun? Great beach and loads to do during the day and night, very hot as well.
DaveSupTT
Another question regarding Cuba and other Carribean places - in September, is it quite Windy and Cloudy, only Emma has been looking at a few pics and is saying it looks Chilly! Soaruss
Been to Dom Rep and Cuba in September and October and never had any bad weather really. September and October can be a bit showery. It can bucket it down for 5 mins then half hour later its bone dry again. Oh and it never gets chilly believe you me. If you want to do something at night then Mexico would be better, been there too. If you do Cuba you must do the self drive speed boat trip, its excellent.
