Guest -Browny-
Before i start and before you all start saying type it in the search, but i have done, and it comes up with everything im looking for in terms of can it be done what i need to do it etc etc But what i want to know is, from reading it all, it is absolutely boggling my mind, so is there anyone out there who can do a 5speed conversion from start to finish supplying all parts and bits? and how much am i looking at? Cheers
Gaz6002
What reason do you have for wanting to go 5 rather than 6 speed? The ratios? The 5 speed isn't anywhere near as strong as the 6 speed. Is it price related? It can be done, but might be a false economy TBH.

Gaz6002
what do you mean by that? A false economy refers to something that you pay for but don't get very good value for. The box itself will be much cheaper to buy than the 6 speed, but the other parts of the conversion will be the same price(ish). The 5 speed will hold 350bhp no worries, but I guess it depends what your future plans are.
Stonkin
Think what Gaz is saying is that if you fit a 5 speed and it breaks due to the 350hp, getting it repaired is bringing the overall cost to 6 speed territory edit - beat me

Jezz or Keron, authorised Traders and well trusted on here. You may have to wait for a 6 speed, though.
