JamieP
Is there one i can use that is less likely to boil over or shall i stick with the Toyota stuff? need to get this sorted before my next track day, got a Greddy cooler coming and thought ill change the fluid at the same time. Jamie:)
Homer
CW was talking about a race spec Dot 3 or Dot 4 a few days ago. Unfortunatly, unless it's old and dead fluid it's unlikely to make a significant difference if it's boiling up, the stock cooler is next to useless so an aftermarket one is going to be the thing to solve it

Homer
The stock toyota stuff i presume. Any idea when it was last changed? Might just be old fluid and considering the usage it's had and the track day(s) it might just be cooked.
JamieP
Ive never changed it mate, think ill just fit the coolers and renew the oil and see how i get on, it only spilled over a little last time so hopefully will be ok with the cooler. michael
I had fresh Toyota stuff in mine and managed to boil it on track, I just did shorter sessions in the end but a cooler or coolers would have been sensible.
SimonB
It happens to pretty much every Supra I've ever seen used on track, mine included. A cooler is the only way to go I reckon. I bought a small Mocal oil cooler ages ago but haven't got round to fitting it yet, too busy rebuilding engines!
dani_r
Is there a link on how to change to PAS fluid? Edit: Never mind, good 'ole search button! Kranz
I'd try Amsoil synthetic ATF... available from Oilman and other sources.
