DamanC
There are no known issues with a current upto date set of updates inc SP3. Id update all of your drivers and then slop the updates on.
foodfreak
can't imagine it will be dust. it's ok at the moment, just got to figure out this update question Hi Daman, would a driver issue suddenly cause this?
ClaireRZ-S
Well thats not it so. You could try and install them one by one to see if you can figure out which one does it ..
ilicos
The Acers also come with split drives, C and D. You should store all data on D really so that (a) it keeps your C drive free and (b) in the event you need to restore factory settings or reload the OS you do not lose your data. It caused all manner of problems and I was unable to remove SP3 as the file was corrupt. As far as I'm aware these problems arent present when you do a fresh install from an xp disc that contains SP3 Its safe to say I unchecked SP3 from my updates! Differ as much as you like, you must have a fault with your laptop rather than an issue with SP3
