Jellybean
Hi Car: 93 JSPEC I have the Bellof kit (not too sure which one, has red ballast packs but models now seem to be all blue) A few Questions Does the bulb dictate the Temperature or the actual Ballast?(4000K bulb or 6000K Bulb ) I have new Facelift Headlights, and some condensation inside - I heard you use the uk SPEC bulbs (9006) instead of JSPEC (9005) for a better Seal to solve this? jamesmark
1) It is the bulbs that determines the temp. (4300k and 6000k) 2) No idea
Jake
Depends. What do mean by the word Temperature? The colour temperature or the heat temperature? No that's not correct.
Jellybean
Depends. What do mean by the word Temperature? The colour temperature or the heat temperature? No that's not correct. The colour Temperature, from what i understand the Colour Temp affects the Light Colour illuminated. I would like a White colour around 5-6K
jamesmark
4300k is the whitest and offers best illumination, 6000k offers a tint of blue. Normal v 4300k 4300k v 8000k
Jellybean
From looking at prices the Blubs are what costs, so you might as well get a whole new kit with Ballasts too What kits do you recommend, I like the Bellof's Whats the average Lifetime of these kits
dandan
I have had 4300, 5000 and 6000k bulbs. I think you have to take the scales with a pinch of salt and only make comparisons between Kelvin ratings from the same seller.........my 6000K are the brightest white I have ever had on the car.....no particular blue tint from any angle, just extremely bright white. DARETT
50w kits are a little overkill IMO. Manufacturers don't exceed 35w with factory kits, so why would you need more anyway? Unless you want to blind everyone who drives past. Or you drive off-road most of the time...
SteveC
Fitted a 50 Watt 4300K kit to mine a few weeks ago. I'm very pleased with the result and haven't been flashed once. Fantastic upgrade.
