Guest volcom11
I just got an 87 supra about 3 months ago. IM NEW TO SUPRAS AND DONT KNOW CRAP ABOUT CARS. it was a non turbo but was swaped out to a 7m-gte...it ran awesome for those 3 months and a week ago my car just died...I tries starting it again it started up and ran for about 3 seconds then died...i changed the fuel filter and it ran for a day and started dying again...i cleaned my tank and put another filter in and it still keeps starting and dying...THE CAR WILL STAY RUNNING IF I PUMP THE GAS PEDAL BUT DIES IF I HOLD IT IN ONE SPOT Im limited on cash but i checked what i could...I checked relays, fuses, reset ecu, pulled some connectors and tried starting it but nothing...pulled off hose to my fuel rail and cranked it to make sure my pump was working but it was only for 1 second, i read that the pump could prime the lines to start it but then stop working but not sure. i looked for loose hoses and wires but the wiring is kind of a hack job so not sure there either...I was thinking it might be an igniter.I dont have a check engine light on so im not sure if i can pull codes or since it had an engine swap if there is something not wired right to where it wont show a check engine light. i have read everything i could on these forums but still cant figure it out so not sure whats going on but any help will be awesome thanks...
