dan4
I thought the 255lp/h pumps were the highest flowing available but i have now seen 310lp/h pumps available, are these rip offs or genuine items???
Luxluc
why do you think that a lot of fuel kits use 2 of them. The Sard 280l/h pump, as well as the Bosch 044 pump are more powerful than the walbro one
heckler
all you need is a bosch pump
dan4
why do you think that a lot of fuel kits use 2 of them 2 255's? what about the 310's all you need is a bosch pump 044 needs swirl tank though? do 310 walboros exist?
Wez
044 needs swirl tank though? Not true, there are a few on here with them mounted in tank like the stock pump, myself included

SteveR
Paul has two 044 for sale here http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=175109 I'm hoping to nab one (have PM'd Paul just now); advice though please, what are the cons regarding mounting the Bosch inside the tank about when they weren't designed for that? I know people do do it, but it is 100% ok?
dan4
and what is the beneficial flow rate increase of doing so does anyone have a pic of one installed in a stock hanger?
JamieP
does anyone have a pic of one installed in a stock hanger? Mine. Edited January 31, 2009 by JamieP (see edit history)

dan4
looks fairly simple so what exactly do you get from 044 proven over 255 walboro
Steve
Flow rates are better at higher pressures. Edited February 2, 2009 by Steve (see edit history)
dan4
but what have people proven, a few lines on a graph is all well and good but you cannot run a walboro at 90psi anyway, it just locks out Jamie what setup did you run the 044 on and what were the results, anyone else feel free to add their experiences

dan4
Yes there's a line on a picture, what im getting at is what have people acheived with these pumps, like for example i know my car can hit 500hp with a 255 walboro...

I think it just a case of extra capacity should you need/want/require more power. I expect 500 ish is aproaching the limit of a single walbro, where as a bosch is fine. Wez/jamieP are high 500's with bosch's and I expect they could get more out of them. Yes, twin walbros could/can support more then 500, but the problem is if one fails, your engine will go up a creek without a paddle.
